Climate 

• Tolerates heat, drought and shade extremally well.

• Adapts well to many different soil types.

• Prefers a soil Ph of 5.8-7.

• Requires 3-4 hours of sunlight each day.

Maintenance 

• Should be watered 1 inch per week. 

• Requires frequent mowing and should be cut 1.5 inches in height.

• Generally requires fertilization once a year. 

• Should be aerated once a year.

Insect, Disease & Weed Control

• The most common pests that are attracted to tall fescue are armyworms and white grubs.

• Pre-emergent and post emergent should be applied yearly to prevent different types of weeds from sprouting up.
